An update on identity

One of many to come…

Today I tweaked the punctuation in the name since the original working title 😉

Print\Resist\Project

By using the backslash instead of forward slash marks, the title suggests a progression upward. In digital parlance, the backslash represents moving upward in a file structure, versus the forward slash, which is drilling down. This is also an ironic nod considering the mostly analog outcome of this project: printed matter.

Another aspect of this name that I enjoy is that the word “project” is a homonym of the noun — e.g. “This is my capstone project.” — and the verb — e.g. “Queer youth will project their voices through protest posters.”
